Dinner for Schmucks – Movie Trailer

Movie: Dinner for Schmucks (2010)

  • Director:
    Jay Roach
  • Release Date: 30 July 2010 (USA)
  • Country: USA
  • Genre: Comedy
  • Main cast: Steve Carell, Paul Rudd

Tag: Takes One To Know One.

Plot: Since he’s not going to renew the role of the boss in The Office, Steve Carell is more active in movies. Dinner for Schmucks is his latest playground, where he plays the role of an IRS employee, Barry. Tim (Paul Rudd) is an executive “on the rise” at a large company, but isn’t yet in the office he thinks he deserves. However a chance shows up when his boss tells him he organizes each month an event, so-called “dinner for idiots”. Basically the one that brings in the biggest buffoon earns the most advantages in the eyes of the Big Kahuna. Tim meets Barry and considers him perfect as a guest, given that Barry is a small-scale disaster, ending up destroying partly whatever he touches. It’s a comedy that I’m looking forward to see since Steve Carell’s performance as a comedian is extraordinary, at least most of the times.

Resident Evil: Afterlife – Movie Trailer

Movie: Resident Evil: Afterlife

  • Director: Paul W.S. Anderson
  • Release Date: 10 September 2010 (USA)
  • Country: USA
  • Genre: Action, Thriller, Horror
  • MPAA: Not yet rated but for sure at least PG-13

Tagline: She’s back…And she’s bringing a few of her friends.

Trivia: The name of this movie “Afterlife” is the same working title that was used in the previous movie before it became “Extinction”. The name they use in Japan for this is “Biohazard IV”.

Plot:
Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth film installment based on Capcom’s video game series Resident Evil and they seem to be releasing it in 3D this time (actually using the latest 3D technology under the magic wand of James Cameron). The trailer does seem to contain very few zombie fights, and by watching it I got the feeling that some actions were the same as the ones in Matrix (where the 2 similar Alice shoot jumping off the window).

Film is written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and besides starring Milla Jovovich as Alice, Wentworth Miller is now Chris (he’s the star in Prison Break). The movie is scheduled to be released on September 10, 2010.

Resident Evil: Afterlife continues where the third film left off, and since Resident Evil: Extinction Alice has been travelling to search for other remaining survivors. When she entered the ruins of Los Angeles she found a prison surrounded by zombies and had to team up with other survivors who had been hiding in Los Angeles. She has to help release the other survivors that are held within the jail (including Claire’s brother Chris Redfield played by Prison Break star – funny how he didn’t manage to escape this one).
