Plot: A film directed by Peter Jackson (did King Kong too) so you can expect it to be full of special effects. It starts when an alien ship arrives on Earth, and the aliens just seem to want to go home, as they say they’ve landed on Earth by mistake. Is this truly what they want to do?

30 years after their first landing, the aliens are now refugees in District 9, a place in South Africa where they live in as the last survivors of their specie. The government doesn’t know what to do with them, as in all this time they haven’t figured out how their weaponry works. A private company is assigned to find that out, and since the weaponry requires alien DNA for activation, Wikus (Sharlto Copley) becomes the most hunted man on Earth as a strange virus altered his human DNA with the alien one.
