Plot: Michael Cera is back, this time as a 14-year-old guy called Nick. While I’m not sure if he could pass as a 14 year old, his role is the one we all know and this movie seems to be a promising one. Nick has a dream, he wants to have sex with a dream girl called Sheeni Saunders, hoping that she’ll be his first to make him get rid of his virginity. This cannot be a right moment, given that his trailor living parents are on the verge of getting a divorce, but sex can drive you do lots of things you wouldn’t expect.
The movie is based on the acclaimed novel by C.D. Payne, “Youth in Revolt”. Nick Twisp has a taste for the finer things in life and that’s the main reason he falls inlove with the free-spirited Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday) while on the family vacation. Nick abandons his way of life of being dull and predictable, becoming a rebel called Francois (easy recognized by his ascot, moustache and his cigarette) that has to be with Sheeni.
