Trivia: Invictus is also a short poem by the British poet William Ernest Henley. The title is Latin for “Invincible”. It was first published in 1875.

Plot: A movie directed by Clint Eastwood based on a true story with Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman in the leading roles. Very promising. Morgan Freeman plays the role of Nelson Mandela, after he was eliberated from the Robben island prison (South Africa) to become the president of a post-apertheid country. The movie shows the story on how Nelson Mandela teamed up with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team (a white man played by Matt Damon) in order to help unite the whites and blacks in South Africa. The newly elected President Mandela knows that his people remain divided by race and social status due to the apartheid, but he believes he can unite them through sport.
