Plot: A leap year has an extra day, the 29th of February. This you know. What you don’t know is that in Ireland there’s a tradition that in a Leap Year on the 29th a woman can propose to a man, and that’s the idea behind this movie. A woman (Amy Adams) thinks her boyfriend is going to propose to her, but instead she receives a pair of ear-rings. So, when her boyfriend leaves for Dublin, she gets the master idea from her father that she should go to Dublin and propose to her boyfriend. Not as easy as it sounds because during the flight the weather gets bad and they’re forced to land in a small village where a young attractive country man (Matthew Goode) decides to give her a ride to Dublin. She will go through a lot of funny adventures until she gets to Dublin, where she is faced to choose between the boyfriend and her newly found love.
