Plot: What happens when a world-renowned scientist, crushed by the loss of his eldest daughter, formulates a theory in conflict with religious dogma? This is the story of Charles Darwin, especially during the years when he was writing the creationist ideas for “The Origin of Species”. “You killed God” it’s a sentence that properly describes the impact of his book. The story is focused on the relation between Charles Darwin (Paul Bettany) and his wife Emma Darwin (Jennifer Connelly), who is a faithful woman that tries at the beginning to stop him from going public with his book. In the end Charles lets her decide what to do with the book.
