Trivia: While filming this movie, Kristen Stewart cut her trademark long, full hair into an uneven ‘shag’ hairstyle. Photos of the hairstyle were released on June 11, 2009, garnering a great deal of media attention.
Plot: Kristen Stewart (the main lead in Twilight) and Dakota Fanning (which it’s unbelievable how much she grew) are part of a band, that others thought it didn’t stand a chance. The Runaways is actually a biographical movie based on the rock band consisting of American teenage girls that performed in the 1970s. You might know the band from their hits such as “Cherry Bomb”, “Queens of Noise”, “Rock n Roll”, “Neon Angels (On the Road to Ruin)”, and “Born to Be Bad”. Too bad they didn’t last more than 4 years together.
Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning play the roles of Jett and Currie. Stella Maeve has been cast as Sandy West and Scout Taylor-Compton will play Lita Ford. Michael Shannon is playing the role of the manager, Kim Fowley. Many Twilight fans are anxious to see their star actually playing some of the songs of The Runaways.
