Goofs: Continuity: At the end of the Movie when Mikael meets Harriet in Australia he wears sunglasses in the shots from behind, but in the front shots the glasses are gone.
Plot: Now don’t worry, the title might be misleading but in translation it’s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. The original title is in Swedish, and it’s based on a novel by Stieg Larsson about a female hacker and her friend, a journalist.
Harriet Vanger disappeared 40 years ago from an island inhabited by the a powerful clan, The Vangers. Even if her body was never found, her uncle considered that she was killed by one of their family members. This is why he hires the journalist Mikael Blomkvist a computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (she has a dragon tattoo, that’s where the title comes from) to investigate the disappearance. But the pair soon discovers a series of horrible murders happening almost 40 years ago, and step into a dark family history. However the Vangers try to protect their secrets, and the two will get to experience how far those are prepared to go to keep those secrets.
