Plot:
By the look of the Immortals trailers, you would think that this is the result of combining scenes from the movie 300 and Thor. It makes sense to have similarities with 300, because Immortals is produced by the same people behind the movie 300. Which is great, I loved that movie and I’m sure many others have too.
The fight between Gods and Titans is mythical, and eons after that fight was won by the Gods a new evil threat arises – King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke). Mad over power he declares war against humanity, and by all gods Mckey Rourke plays amazing as he’s one of the few actors that can kill in cold blood (the trailer shows how easily he cuts a woman’s throat). Hyperion has an army of soldiers and under his command they torch Greece searching for a legendary fire bow, the Epirus Bow. This weapon was forged by Ares, and can generate arrows automatically made of fire, not only that but the one that owns this bow can also unleash the Titans imprisoned deep within Mount Tartaros. If the king reaches the bow he’ll be able to destroy mankind and turn the Titans against the Gods. A peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) is secretly chosen by Zeus and he is the only hope Gods have in the fight against Hyperion, since they cannot directly intervene in helping the humans.
If you watched Immortals and think it’s good, share your comment with the rest of us – if you think Immortals sucks, then even better let us know so we’d spare the ticket money. I really hope it’s not a disappointment such as Clash of the Titans.

I enjoyed the 2D version, not sure if the 3D is worth it. But overall good, but not great. I wish at the start we would’ve seen more of why king Hyperion was angered by the gods. I think it wouldve added to his character and story. Not sure why Dorff was involved in this film he didn’t add much, and why didn’t we get to see the “beast’s” face? Of course the god(s) fighting scenes were epic! But it seemed odd that there were multiple dry segments that really added nothing to the story and then battle action or violence. I think Singh is a good director but I didn’t see a well thought out storyline in this one.
@Rys05ej20 thank you for your brief review of Immortals, I haven’t gotten a chance to watch it yet but I’ll go to the 2D version too, 3D is not my friend since I have trouble concentrating. I’m sure that the plus of this movie is its fighting scenes, not the storyline, but I’ll be able to give more details after I watch it.
